What Defines Midway Woods Boundaries?

Not since the 1950′s has Midway Woods seen so much change. There is significant new construction including three new subdivisions in the last few years. With all this change, the definition of our neighborhood borders, or at least our neighborhood association membership, deserves revisiting.
The current definition of our neighborhood is fuzzy and not always common sensical. Historically, our borders are defined by Shoal Creek to the West, Columbia to the East, and Memorial to the South. To the North, McKinnon and Oldfield Road to the City of Decatur border is also sometimes considered Midway Woods.
Winnona Park defines its southern border with Midway Woods as the City of Decatur limits. This means some houses on McKinnon, some on Midway, and some on Oldfield. As the City border moves so does Winnona Park’s border, and the border has moved.
East Lake defines its Eastern border as Candler.
If we defined our neighborhood association membership eligibility by the major surrounding roads including Candler, South of Kirk, West of Columbia, and North of Memorial would everyone be better served? Streets like East Pharr, Candler Pointe, Chevelle, St Patrick, East Tupelo and the empty Blue Sky Condos would be eligible to vote.
What if we maintained membership eligibility for houses annexed into the City of Decatur? Are neighbor associations mutually exclusive?
