DeKalb County Natural Resource Management Cleans up Park

Thanks and a special “shout out” to DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson for getting the DeKalb County Parks and Recreation Dept and Dekalb County Natural Resources Management deparment out Deerwood Drive to keep the right-a-way cleared and cleaned as promised. Come by and take a look. It’s along the Dearborn Park greenspace on Deerwood Drive down to the sharp curve. DeKalb County Resource Management Dave Butler was instrumental in completing this process after he discovered that his department had failed to live up to the promise they made with for profit Park Renewal Day in association with Renewal Construction. Midway Woods Neighborhood Association works with Park Renewal Day each year to help clean up Dearborn Park and clear it of invasive plants and will start work on ivy that is killing many of the trees, which is now a higher priority.
